This season’s top try scorer on the IRB 7s circuit, Ryder has become the new sensation on the world 7s scene. His goose-steps’ speed and craftiness bare an uncanny resemblance to his mentor Waisale Serevi in his prime.

Ryder possesses exceptionally speed off the mark and the ability to extract himself from seemingly impossible situations. He probably would have finished the 2005-6 season as top try scorer too had he played in Paris and London.

Played at first five-eighths for Bua during the 2006 Northern Rally and says he wants to stay with 7s for a little while longer before making the move to 15s.
